Rig Comparison: Four rigs at Dawn, Newstead VIC

This is a mic comparison from Andrew Skeoch's Victorian get-together.

  • Immersive Soundscapes clippies recorded into a zoom F3. Placed as an unbaffeled spaced pair approx 50cm apart on a branch.
  • Kevin’s dropbEAR recorder with AOM5024L capsules, strapped to a c. 50cm diameter tree trunk. This was about 5 meters from other recorders.
  • Kyle’s NT4 rig, sat on a stool
  • Andrew’s SASS rig, on a ~4 foot tripod
